چکیده
Aim: To establish a useful and objective classification for retinitis pigmentosa (RP) to evaluate the disease severity. Methods: This is retrospective cross-sectional study. Visual acuity (VA), visual field (VF) width, ellipsoid zone width on optic cohorence tomography (OCT) multifocal electroretinography (mf ERG) values were obtained from medical records of patients with RP. A scoring criterion was developed wherein each variable assigned score 0 5 depending its distribution. The cumulative (from 20) used classify severity grade 5. scores correlated other final grade. Results: Data 152 eyes 92 who had results all tests reviewed. mean age 41.2 years. VA 0.13 ± 0.16 Snellen lines. majority less than 20/40 (88.6%), smaller 20˚ (78%), an 7˚ (84.4%). (85.4%) in advanced stage (Grade 4 5). Conclusions: We present simple, easy use RP which can be categorize compare treatment results.

Chlorogenic Acid Supplementation Improves Multifocal Electroretinography in Patients with Retinitis Pigmentosa
To evaluate the effect of chlorogenic acid supplementation in patients with retinitis pigmentosa, we evaluated objective change in visual function with multifocal electroretinography, along with visual acuity, visual field, standard electroretinography, and contrast sensitivity. Eighteen patients diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa were enrolled in this prospective, non-comparative, single-arm ...

PURPOSE To compare electroretinogram (ERG) characteristics in patients with retinitis pigmentosa (RP) and normal subjects using frequency domain analysis. METHODS Five basic ERG recordings were performed in normal subjects and patients with a clinical diagnosis of RP according to the ISCEV (International Society of Clinical Electrophysiology of Vision) protocol. Frequency domain analysis was ...

The association of two rare ocular conditions of unknown aetiology presents the clinician with an opportunity to study interrelating factors. The association of retinitis pigmentosa with Coats's disease has been previously reported in three patients (Zamorani, I956; Morgan and Crawford, I968), in all of whom bilateral involvement occurred with severe visual loss. The present case which has been...
